THE SHOP

The Collective is a designer consignment boutique offering a curated collection of sought-after clothing, bags, shoes and accessories.  The shop is only as good as its relationships with its consignors. Gabrielle builds community while styling others in YOUR treasures. She is always looking for the hottest items and the merchandise is always changing.  Located right off the main drag in Summit, NJ at 101 Summit Avenue, a short walk from the train station.  If you don't live close by, follow the Collective on Instagram, where you can find the latest and greatest arrivals. THE PROCESS

Looking for designer clothing and accessories in like-new to very gently used condition.  You will receive 40% of the selling price on clothing and shoes and receive 50-70% of the selling price on handbags.  You can receive a check for your sold items or use your earnings as store credit.  Your items will be on the selling floor for 60 days.  You have the opportunity to pick up your items at any time before the 60 days.  Who Is The Collective?

Gabrielle Newkirk created her shop during the summer of 2017.  Lover of clothing, textiles, textures, and cool spaces, a consignment shop of her own was always the idea.  She's combining designer and contemporary clothing and accessories with a cool, boutique-like aesthetic.  When she’s not at the shop, she can be found making art, hanging out with her family, and enjoying the outdoors.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  1. What are you currently accepting for consignment?
    We accept seasonally appropriate clothing/accessories so currently, we are accepting transitional pieces!  We look for unique, current, on-trend items in excellent condition.

  2. What brands do you accept?
    We are looking for sought-after brands such as Louis Vuitton, Vince, Helmut Lang, Mara Hoffman, Chanel, Tory Burch, Prada, Calypso, Burberry, Joie, Rag + Bone, Tibi, Ulla Johnson, and more.  We mix in some vintage and other brands as well.  

  3. How do I get paid?
    You can receive a check for your sold items or use your earnings as store credit.  If you choose to receive a check, you will receive one the month after your item sells.  Checks for over $100 are mailed to you.

  4. Do I need an appointment?
    We accept consignment all day, no appointments are necessary unless you have more than 50 items.  We prefer if you are able to come in on the weekdays as weekends tend to be very busy.   

  5. What if my item doesn't sell?
    If your item does not sell, you are able to pick up that item at the end of the 60 day selling period.  If you don't want your item back, it will be donated.
